Precision Machine Technology (PMT) was established in early 2024, evolving from its roots within Roadrunner Manufacturing (NZ) Ltd as part of a strategic move to expand its equipment supply division.
Built on a strong foundation in precision engineering and manufacturing, PMT has quickly grown to become a trusted partner for workshops and production environments across New Zealand.
While PMT remains the sole authorised supplier of OMAX Abrasive Waterjet Systems in New Zealand, backed by over a decade-long partnership and a nationwide installed base, today the business represents far more than waterjet technology.
PMT now delivers a broader range of advanced engineering solutions, including fibre laser cutting systems through its partnership with Senfeng, alongside a comprehensive portfolio of fabrication and engineering equipment.
From sheet metal benders and laser welders to lathes, drills, linishers and workshop machinery, PMT supports customers across the full production process from cutting through to finishing.
In early 2026, PMT further strengthened its position in the market through the acquisition of Coastal Machinery. This strategic move significantly expanded the company’s offering, adding depth to its range of precision engineering equipment and reinforcing its ability to support a wider cross-section of New Zealand industry.
